Parent Partnership

Peace of mind

We strongly believe that a trusting and mutually respectful relationship between parents and ourselves is crucially important to a child’s well-being and development.

We work closely in all matters pertaining to a child’s individual needs/learning and feel that parents play a key role in all aspects of the care and education we provide. We operate an open door policy. We share ongoing information through letters, parent notice boards, questionnaires, regular individual reviews and daily contact. We always welcome suggestions and comments from parents.

We know how upsetting it can be for parents and their children when they are first separated and we aim to make the transition as easy as possible. We offer tailor-made acquaintance visits to suit you and your child’s needs and we recommend that your child becomes familiar with the nursery prior to commencement. We offer an initial meeting, where information can be shared and arrangements made for admission, all of which will help us to work in partnership with you to provide the very best care and learning for your child.

Thank you so much for all the love and hard work you have put into the nursery. The boys have learnt so much and had a wonderful time. It has made returning to work so much easier knowing they were somewhere they enjoyed and where hugs weren’t limited.

Nurseries and staff like yours are few and far between. You all deserve a medal for working to keep our children not just safe but happy too.

quotes

Dear Ambourne House Staff, Many thanks for caring to settle both my children so quickly into nursery. I can see the big progress for both of the kids in the few months they've been here. [older child] is now fantastic at counting, letters and singing songs and [younger child] has become more peaceful and independent. He would like more interactive activities at home now too. - 19/12/22

quotes

From the very beginning, we have felt that the toddler room staff have gone above and beyond to make E feel welcome, safe and happy and that became quickly evident in his relationship with the staff...(E) has had no problem telling us all about Rose, Sarah and Emily and what fun he had on his days there. Likewise, the staff were really reassuring to me when I dropped him off and would call me to let me know he's okay. Sometimes my anxiety would get the better of me and I felt that they understood as I stood there crying and never made me feel silly. The handover when I picked him up never felt rushed and I always went home feeling like I had a really good night to what kind of day he had. I really want to mention Emily in particular. She is absolutely worth her weight in gold and more! I've never met a woman who cares so much about the children she looks after and truly treats them and loves them like they are her own. - May 2022
